Lisa Hinzman Howard, recognized in the gardening community as the Midwest Garden Gal, inspires gardeners to embrace the global movement to "grow your food to know your food." She shares strategies to get the most from your garden to maximize yields, extend harvests, and grow successfully in even the coldest climates. A Linn County Master Gardener volunteer, Lisa has built a reputation as an author, blogger, speaker, consultant, and podcast guest. Midwest Garden Gal, LLC, offers in-person and online classes as well as personalized garden consultations. Her book, Cheap Tricks Gardening: 'Cause You Don't Need to Spend a Fortune for Fabulous, was published in 2022.
