Channel Changes to Affect The Library Channel
On October 29, 2014, Mediacom will be moving The Library Channel from channel 10 to channel 20. A that time, Mediacom will cease to distribute channels 10 through 21 via analog transmission. These channels will be converted to digital transmission and become viewable only with the use a digital transport adapter (DTA), a digital converter cable box, or a digital-ready TV.

The Cable TV Division's mission is to enforce cable franchise requirements and recommend new policies; to inform the community about civic and public events, issues and political activities of area governments and community organizations; to support cable subscribers in resolution of service problems; to provide audiovisual support to the City and to facilitate other local channel's efforts to provide community programs to Iowa City residents.
Girls Rock Iowa City 2014 Concert
Girls Rock! Iowa City is a non-profit community organization dedicated to empowering girls and women through musical expression and education. During their week-long summer camp program, girls 8-16 chose an instrument and formed bands, working together to write original songs which they performed and recorded at the end of camp.
