Digital transmission comes to Iowa City. Mediacom is now transmitting digital signals. Subscribers with a digital-ready television or using a digital converter box from Mediacom should experience an enhanced picture quality. Subscribers using a television without a digital tuner should not experience any change. In addition Mediacom is now providing a high-definition signals of ESPN and ESPN II on the Family Package tier at no additional charge.

Here, you can learn more about the duties and responsibilities of the Cable TV Division, which include negotiation and oversight of the City's Cable Franchise, providing video services to the City and local non-profit organizations, programming City Channel 4 and Interactive Channel 5, and hosting the Community Voice.
The Cable TV Division's mission is to serve, build, and strengthen the City and community through a variety of services offered through the Administrative Offices and with Cable TV City Channel 4 and Interactive Channel 5.
