Dave Wu was born in Taiwan, and grew up in Canada. Dave's professional training was focused on Engineering and Business Management - Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and Master of Business Administration from the Arizona State University. He spent over 30 years in the Aerospace industry and traveled extensively for business, especially in Asia, which included a 3 year assignment in Singapore. He is an ardent follower of global affairs. He was fortunate to have experienced the first Quebec Separation Referendum in 1980, as well as a General Election in Singapore, in addition to numerous Canadian and American elections.
In this talk, Dave examines the recent elections in Taiwan (2018 Local Election, 2020 Presidential Election), and the implications of the election results in regional and global affairs.
