Inclusive Economic Development Grant: Dream City
Dream City was awarded a $3 million grant from the City of Iowa City to acquire and renovate their building, creating an entrepreneurial hub and community gathering place. The space includes a commercial kitchen, event space, classrooms, and a micro-retail space.
The City of Iowa City created the Inclusive Economic Development grant using $4 million of the $18.3 million American Rescue Plan Act, or ARPA, funds provided to Iowa City by the federal government.
